M1 Movement & Therapy believes everyone should complete a movement screen annually. It is important for people to move well and move often. As you aim to become a healthier individual, completing this screen with a professional can help you discover strengths and weaknesses and implement a program to decrease the risks of injury.
M1 Movement & Therapy offers the Functional Movement Screen. The "FMS is the screening tool used to identify limitations or asymmetries in seven fundamental movement patterns that are key to functional movement quality in individuals with no current pain complaint or known musculoskeletal injury. These movement patterns are designed to provide observable performance of basic loco motor, manipulative and stabilizing movements by placing an individual in extreme positions where weaknesses and imbalances become noticeable if appropriate mobility and motor control is not utilized." -FunctionalMovement.com.
At M1 Movement & Therapy we use RockTape to help people move the way our bodies were meant to move. RockTape increases blood flow, which allows more nutrients to be delivered to the area, delaying fatigue, and promoting healing of an injury. It gives your body and brain a sense of awareness to help you move optimally.Contact Us to Make an Appointment

I have been treated by Ben at M1 Movement and Therapy for both injury prevention and recovery. Ben is very professional, knowledgeable and caring. Not only do I feel better after a single treatment, but also he gives great education on what needs to be done to make me continue feeling my best.
One of the best qualities of Ben at M1 is that there is always a follow up to make sure I am feeling my best.
I am confident going to M1 for any physical therapy treatment, Rock Taping or mobility education and implementation. I also do not hesitate to send my clients to Ben; I know they are in the great care.
As a CrossFitter, weaknesses are exposed daily. Sometimes these weaknesses are because we need to get stronger and sometimes they are because we need to be more mobile. Nothing is more frustrating than working really hard at your fitness and being hindered by range of motion. Ben with M1 Movement has helped me with my overhead mobility making it easier for me to move weight overhead, do handstand push-ups, as well as other overhead movements. Thank you, Ben, for the awesome treatments!
I highly recommend Dr. Ben and M1 Movement & Therapy! I recently experienced some fairly intense, rapidly on-setting back pain, and was recommended to M1 by my fellow athletes. Ben quickly and expertly isolated and diagnosed the source of my pain and discomfort. I was relieved to learn it was merely muscular spasms. Ben was able to work out much of the pain right away. After an hour of work on the table, Ben applied RockTape, gave me a list of mobility exercises and recommendations, and sent me on my way. Three weeks later, I am feeling much, much better, and back to my regular routine.
This was the best experience I ever had with a physical therapist. Ben understands athletes (especially CrossFitters!), so he was able to approach my diagnosis and treatment from a perspective that no other PT has ever been able to offer to me. Thanks, Dr. Ben!
I immediately felt comfortable in Ben’s hands. His knowledge and compassion are evident the very first visit. I felt relief even after a few visits; I look forward to the next!
Ben is awesome! He knows what he's doing and will help you with any questions or concerns - even outside of your scheduled appointment! If you need any Physical Therapy help, go see him!

We recommend going through a movement screen at least once a year as an approach to reduce the risk of injury and help you move better throughout everyday life. You probably visit your physician once a year, your dentist twice a year, and your eye doctor 1-2x a year. All of these visits are to help you avoid more serious problems. Visiting a physical therapist for a movement screen can help you decrease your risk of injury and/or even reduce your current pain.

No, you do not need a referral to receive services at M1 Movement & Therapy. Your insurance company may require a physician referral for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company for more information.
M1 Movement & Therapy believes their current model benefits the client the most. Clients receive one-on-one care for their full visit. Most insurance-based clinics need to see multiple patients at a time limiting individualized care. The increased time the M1 therapist spends with the client allows for higher quality of care that we strongly believe in. People value their time, and we value it too.
